After completing his first formal training and earning an A.A.S. degree in Automotive Technology from Parkland College, he then attended Southern Illinois University and earned a B.A.S. degree, also concentrated in automotive technology.
His post-college career began as a Service Engineer at a technician troubleshooting helpline for Ford Motor Company. Approximately two years later, he was offered a position as a Field Service Engineer for Ford. In 2009, he was offered an opportunity to join the training team at a Ford training center and he would remain in a training capacity until accepting a position as the director of a Ford-concentrated technician training program at his former community college. Since 2012, Shane has been coordinating with Ford Motor Company and its dealerships in surrounding states to train and develop skilled, factory-trained technicians who share his passion.
